Nice baseboard at fair price

I purchased a total of 60 feet of Baseline 2000 Baseboard heater units with end caps and fillers. I am satisfied with the units and the cost is reasonable. Supplyhouse is great to work with from ordering to customer support and standing behind their products. I did have some problems with damage during shipment, but it was the the fault of Supplyhouse. The units were packaged well. Double boxed with internal bubble wrap. The carrier, UPS absolutely abused the units during shipment, ( which happened on two separate shipments). AGAIN - NOT FAULT OF SUPPLYHOUSE. Supplyhouse did replace the damaged units and parts with NO hassel. I highly recommend Supplyhouse for the products they handle and the great folks they have working. Technical Support, ordering on line and via phone, customer support and followup is a top notch. Just watch out for the carrier, UPS and the way the abuse the shipments. I hate to see Supplyhouse get a bad reputation because of a deliver company who obviously needs to address a bad internal situation.

I would be challenged to reorder this product

Most of the basedboards I purchased came damaged. I spent hours straightening the fins, that were bent and damaged in shipping. I feel the damage was due to packaging. I would suggest adding some type of packing in the carton to stop the brackets from moving and crushing the fins. Most damage occurred where the mounting bracket was around the pipe/fin. When talking with the installer, he commented, "these come bent all the time, not this bad though" If installer have to take time to straighten your product, I believe a redesign of the packaging is needed. The installer also stated the damage would not likely effect the performance, it just looks terrible. Due the extraordinary ease of returning, and getting credit, I would use your company again, but feel the customer should not have to deal with this issue. Pictures were sent to my order/return

Product damaged in shipping.

When I got the product, the fines were damaged in shipping. Supply House did make it right with me. Other then that everything worked great!

Maybe

The fin tube radiation fins were badly damaged on all Slant/Fin radiators. I spent an hour trying to straighten out much of the damage. The damage occurred before it was put in the box.

Damage from the manufacturer's method of packaging

The way it is packaged from the manufacturer allows it to be damaged. The heating element is just laying in the baseboard surround with no physical (bubble wrap or other) protection so the aluminum fins end up bumping against the metal mount points and get bent or crushed. Supply house should ask Stant Fin to protect the heating element better. I could have asked for a replacement but I know that it would come delivered tin the same condition. How do I know? because I later order another 4 ft unit that arrived in the same damaged condition. I ended up painstakingly straightening the fins myself with a putty knife. What a waist of time. Again this is not Supply House's fault - not a damaged box situation, just poor packaging by the manufacterer.

Great customer service! Poor packaging

I purchased two of these and they sent one. The one I received had an element that was damaged. Called customer service and sent pictures. They sent the second unit for the one I never received and a replacement for the damaged one. They both arrived with damaged elements. Called again and sent pictures. They again sent replacements and again the elements were damaged. The elements are placed inside the radiator housing without protection from bouncing around while being shipped. Customer service was awesome to deal with and frankly the reason I'll continue to use supply house, just not for radiator elements. Spoke with my plumber, they said they have the same issues and started using a different supplier for slant fin radiators.

Manufacturer packaging not adequate.

Supply House is easy to deal with and order from. The 36 inch baseboard heat emitter was packed poorly by the manufacturer at no fault of Supply House. The Munufacturer had it originally boxed with the fin supports in the wrong position. Resulting in the units fins being severely damaged. I spent a lot of time trying to straighten them.

What is needed for Reno, I will buy again

These heaters should be packaged better from the factory as the vanes get damaged. Easy to straighten but time consuming. The heater works good.

Fins were damaged.

Supply house packed my heater appropriately but it was lost the first time probably UPS's fault and the other two I received had major fin damage, The box the baseboard heaters manufacturer put them in let the components slide and smash the fins.Supply house always fixed any issues I addressed to them

Q: I don't understand how this heats. Is it electric? Do they have thermostats? Can a 3' heater heat a small room?

Baseboard heaters use convection heating to heat a room. The hot water in the system is typically obtained from a boiler which is heated by gas, oil or electricity. You can calculate how many feet of baseboard heater you need by going to our baseboard heater calculator http://calculators.pexsupply.com/baseboard_heat_calculator.asp . You will need to input your climate type, square footage, and preferred baseboard heater type.
