Q: I'm replacing 25 - 30 year old covers which have taken quite a beating. The "covers only" product looks straightforward, but I'm confused how i would slide them over the element with the hardware for the front cover. Is this hardware placed once the back portion is slid into place?

Q: I need a little clarification ... Does this unit include the plate that goes behinf the heater element, as well as the "standoff" brackets to mount the cover to ? I would like to replace everything but the actual element. The 2 11/16 depth is also a question. If my heater elements are that far out from the wall will I be OK ? It looks close and I am wondering if they will fit.

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffAccording to Slant/Fin, the baseboards will not get hot enough to cause a burn. The damper on the unit will get a little hotter than the cover, but still not hot enough to cause a burn.
Q: I HAVE 12 YEAR OLD BASEBOARD HEATERS AND NEED TO REPLACE THE COVERS. WE PLACED SHEET ROCK ON TOP OF THE HEATER. CAN WE REPLACE THE OLD COVERS,SLANT FINS AND END CAPS. THANKS, LORI
