The Taco 0013 is specifically designed for high head/high flow applications in Large Residential and Light Commercial systems. Ideal for high pressure drop Boilers, Fan Coil units, Heat Exchangers, larger Radiant systems, Heat Recovery and Geothermal systems. The Bronze 0013 should be used on open loop systems. The unique replaceable cartridge contains all of the moving parts and allows for easy service instead of replacing the entire circulator. Universal flange to flange dimensions and orientation allows the 0013 to easily replace other models. Compact, low power consumption design makes it ideal for high-efficiency jobs.

This is a great pump, does a great job for me.
I put 2 of these in my main system. I have a very long loop with about 20' of head . I am now able to circulate through my whole system. They are feeding 5 manifolds ranging from a 6 loop manifold up to two 12 loop manifolds.

Pump did its job wonderfully...fixed the problem (water in hydronic system moving too slow) and was easy to install. We've used TACO pumps for years with great success. Technical support is good also...

Plenty of Flow
I have found that most pumps are too small and do not deliver enough flow. This pump circulates water through the headers and in the 1/2 inch Pex in concrete floors with just the right flow. Do your flow calculations and you may find that this pump is the one you want. It is a little noisy because it is actually moving some water. Also, takes a little more support to mount because it is heavier.

Q: Does it matter if this pump is installed vertical or horizontal?

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffIt is suggested that installation is done horizontally but it can be done vertically. If the unit is installed vertically then there must be at least 20 psi in the system and the unit can make a "kicking" sound.
