    Nope

    Bad experience, packing nut wont seal and threaded casting leaks. It's bad enough it leaks but it's in my personal house and I'm a contractor.

    used this to create a primary/secondary loop

    1 1/4 side was used for the primary loop which had several zones and the boiler/heater connected to the 1" sides as a secondary zone (high pressure drop). One could fabricate a similar closely spaced tee without the ball-valve, but having the option for ball valve is good. If you fabricate it using copper tees and ball valves, there are two problems (1) the spacing between the tees could become too big (4x diameter) and (2) cost would be almost the same as this prefarbicated product.

    Hi Dave! The 88644 isn't for use with PEX tubing, it's Copper Press and would only be compatible with copper pipe.
