Beckett GeniSys A/C Ready Kit (Replaces R8184M Controls)

This product solved my erratic start and stop condition on my 5yr old oil burner furnace. The procedure to change out this part was pretty straight forward. The one thing I would like to see changed if possible, would be for the bracket for which the electronic portion of this part is attached to, to have a breach incorporated into it that would allow the installer to get past all the wiring for the control instead of having to remove the control and all the wires that are connected to said control. This would streamline the replacement process as well as eliminate the possibility of reconnecting the wiring incorrectly. I accomplished this myself by cutting the bracket with tin snips in an area of the bracket I felt would have the least impact on securing to the base for which it is attached and it worked out fine with no issues and saved a bunch of time and aggravation. With that said, great product, great price

We replaced our old oil primary with a new one that did not have a 24v transformer to run the fan contactor or a/c relay. This kit has a plate that gets sandwiched between the box and the oil primary. it only fit but mounted backwards. I had to enlarge the opening and grind one side to mount it with the terminals facing outward. Maybe it would fir other oil burners better. Overall it was faster than buying a 24V transformer and a relay if it fir our burner.
