Cast iron durability and Burnham quality craftsmanship make the Series 2 residential gas boiler ideal for the replacement and new construction markets. The Series 2 line combines traditional atmospheric draft design with proven boiler controls to ensure reliable, trouble-free operation.

  • Made in the USA · Every Burnham½ boiler is made in the U.S.A. To ensure the highest level of quality all Burnham boiler castings are produced "in-house" at our foundry in Zanesville, Ohio. Burnham is the only boiler manufacturer that can make such a claim.
  • Rugged cast iron sections... Superior pin design extracts the maximum amount of heat, reducing fuel consumption and saving you money.
  • Steel couplings... At Burnham we use steel couplings called "nipples" to join our cast iron sections. Steel nipples increase the longevity of your boiler. They are not affected by petroleum based chemicals, including antifreeze, which can deteriorate the cheaper rubber type gaskets substituted for steel push nipples in some competitors' boilers.
  • Fuel saving vent damper This automatically closes the flue to prevent heat from escaping up the chimney after the burner shuts off and reopens it again before the burner comes on.
  • Stainless steel burners... Stainless steel, unlike aluminized steel, ensure long life with no rusting.
  • Step-opening gas valve ...This type of gas valve enables the boiler to start on low fire and continue on to high fire safely and smoothly providing quiet ignition and long life.
  • Honeywell controls ...High quality brand name controls assure reliability and availability.
  • Combustible floor certified... The Series 2 boiler can be installed safely on most floors in your home without worry. No extra cost floor shield to buy.

better than I thought.

I was replacing an old Burnham and got tired of poor reviews of the new technology as to their longivity. I'm so pleased with the "old school" type of boiler. It is worth every cent I saved. In my area the newer technology would not pay for its self. This one will( many times over ) if it lasts the 30 years that the one I replaced did.

No this unit is not available with a tankless coil. You could pair it up with an indirect water heater to provide domestic hot water.

Q: I'm looking at the P204 boiler... I have a house that requires 84000 BTU's when I do the calculations... should I use that 84K for the input or the output of the boiler. Example: a 204 has an input of 96K and an output of 70K, should I base the btu's on the 70 or the 90?

You need to have a boiler with an output that matches the BTU requirement of your home if you want the system to meet your desired temperatures at design conditions (i.e. the coldest day of the year). Input BTUs refer to the number of BTUs the boiler takes in, but a certain percentage of these are wasted as exhaust gases. Note the I=B=R output ratings are lower because they assume that a boiler is installed in an unheated location.
