Klein-Kurve Heavy-Duty Wire Stripper/Crimper/Multi-Tool 8-20 AWG

Klein stripper review Klein Tools has provided me with free product and additional incentives to provide an honest review of this product. #kleintools #kleincrusaders I have used this product now for two weeks now and I have been very impressed with them so far. The strippers work great even on wires from 10-20 gauge while terminating motors to small control wiring and have covered almost all of my needs from a pair of wire strippers. They work equally well on stranded and solid wire. The cutters on this pair of pliers are great and are by far the best of any wire strippers that I have owned. These cutters are what you would normally find on your standard pair of diagonal cutting pliers vs ones that have two sharp blades that sheer the wire and eventually the cutting edge rolls over and clean cutting becomes harder. This is one of many great features of this tool. The pliers are really nice, most days I do not work with solid wire so it is not often that I would need to use the pliers for twisting wire but work extremely well while testing out on 12 AWG THHN and while changing ballasts in light fixtures. Aside from using them for twisting wires for which in the past i carried a pair of lineman's pliers for the also work well for twisting KOs on boxes and most of the other reasons I kept a pair of lineman's pliers for. The crimper on the tool is a nice feature, it is intended for use on non insulated terminals which I do not use in my day to day job unless it is 8 AWG or larger which is beyond the capacity of the pliers. I would personally like to see this for insulated connectors and I believe that would add more value to the pliers. Then we come to the screw cutter, The most common screw that I cut are Nylon 10-32 for use on sensors in corrosive environments. Unfortunately these strippers only go up to 8-32 but I do not believe you would be able to cut a steel 10-32 with the amount of force it required me to cut a steel 8-32. Over all this is a great product!
