Seems to be pretty good, watch the quality and packaging

Seems to be pretty good. The issues you may find most concerning are the quality control on the hot water outlet. When the push the plastic liner in, they mess up some of the initial threads which I had to work over in order to get the union to screw on. Also, SupplyHouse buys these in bulk so they are the ones that package them for shipping. The first one I received was pretty messed up. After I called them and discussed how they packaged the first one, they got the second one to me in fairly good shape. The second one has some minor denting, but it won't impact the function. They have some work to do in their packaging areas still.

Bring a spare TP Valve with you during install

Water heater had a bad TP Valve out of the box (literally spewing water even after running through gallons of water). AO Smith warranty would only replace the part if we went through all the hassle, can't afford to tell customer's their new water heater can't be used for days until warranty sends a new part let alone not paying for the labor to change out the TP Valve.

Packaging could be beefed up, great water heater!

I like the brass tank drain and the hot & cold dielectric fittings. Temperature setting was pre-set and seems to be just right for sink in the powder room up above, Packaging did not protect the unit very well and could use additional cardboard. some small dents and brass drain was gouged up from breaking through the side of box. Unit is working well and I would recommend to a friend.

3rd times the charm

This is used as a point of use unit for two bathroom sinks. The unit is perfect for this application and was easy to install. Works great. BUT, AO Smith puts this in a box with no protective packing around it. On delivery by UPS the boxes looked OK but the heaters were dented badly. Mostly cosmetic but one had the pop off valve destroyed. Jacqueline at Supply house did a great job on the returns and getting me replacements. 3rd one had a slight dent in the upper ring but I accepted and installed it. Supply house will work with you to make sure you are satisfied.

Good product

Worked great, as intended. No issues with product. HOWEVER, the packaging is horrible. Just a box, no cushioning. The drain was poking through the box upon arriving. It was damaged. I had to use a file to make the threads work again.

Perfect for for under the sink

We have a Tankless heater for the total house, but located far away from kitchen location, so we wasted a lot of water waiting for hot water. This under counter heater works perfect for immediate warm water with very little wasted use of water.
