Just what I wanted.
Replaced my 40 year old tank, with this. Works great.
Shipping with UPS a nightmare. They lost the 1st one, Supply house shipped another. UPS kept pushing delivery date out 3 times. Finally arrive on the only day I was not home. They left it next to the street by the mailbox in the rain. Luckily supply house had it packaged well and it was not damaged. Luckily it was not stolen either.

WX-201 WELL-X-TROL Tank

Q: Hello, I currently have a 25 year old Well X-Trol Model WX201 unit pressurized to 30 psi, that is performing well. We would like higher pressure in our home, 40 pis or greater. Is it a simple matter of installing a higher psi unit, and can I still use the old plumbing configuration, or would there be more changes including plumbing changes required? We do not have a water softener but would like to install one, and Kenmore's customer service desk claims that their units need 40-60 psi to operate. Your thoughts please? best regards, Steve

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffWX201 models can be charged up to 150psi, so our understanding is that you'd just need to change the charge on the current tank. You may want to consult with Amtrol or an installer prior to performing the work.

You should be able to up the tank charge, but you may also need to adjust you pump's pressure switch. If the switch is set to 30psi (and it likely is) and you tank is at 40psi you will actually make your water supply issues worse.
