How nice it is to get rid of humongous 250 gallon (641 Lb.) storage tank the plumber I have was well equipped for the job and removed it without killing himself in the process. This new tank was a great purchase no more rusty tasting water and the water pressure is much more consistent too......................

Good, but shipping has to improve
The shipping process needs work. I would have chosen 2.5 stars if it were possible. Delivery took over two weeks. I live in Michigan and my 104 lb tank was shipped from Reno, NV. That's too far to put something that heavy in only a standard cardboard box with no other protection. You can easily guess that when it arrived the base was dented because someone used a dolly improperly and there are a couple of decent scratches/dings on one side. I noted these on the delivery ticket and the tank appears to be usable, but when spending this much for anything new, it'd be nice if it looked so out of the box. I'd even spend a little more if it meant it would be better packed, but there was no option to.

The WX-255 supplies domestic water from my well to my house. This tank replaced a still functioning 81 gallon WELL-X-TROL tank that was around 36 years old. So, I have a lot of confidence in WELL-X-TROL tanks.

Quality Product Arrived Quickly and Ready to Install
I purchased this pressure tank as a replacement for one with a leaking bladder. It is piped in parallel with another tank of the same size and model. The tank I purchased arrived undamaged and was charged to 38 psi as advertised. Our well water system is back online and operating as designed.

I replaced a 20 gallon Well-x-troll tank installed 27 years ago. Decided it was time. I bought a 81 gallon tank. With watering etc thought it best to get more storage to prevent my pump kicking on and off. Tank arrived on a pallet with no damage. Very happy with Supply House and new tank.

Q: The very top of the tank has a threaded hole. What do I do with this hole. Only thing I could think of is a pressure gauge but if the tank is pre-charged obviously the hole is sealed so how would a gauge be installed?

It's to mount accessories. Some tanks allow you to mount the pump on top of the tank. Sent from my iPhone

This is a bladder tank and only requires a single inlet/outlet. You plumb a T in front of it with one pipe going TO the tank, one pipe going TO the house and the other pipe going TO the well. Look up a diagram of the plumbing for a well pressure tank. Sent from my iPhone

Q: I understand some tanks contain bladders with a horizontal seam. In time these type of bladder cracks from expansion and contraction. Do your tanks contain seamless bladders?
