Need to inform people it has a lift nut welded to tank
If this tank last half as long as my Sears Captive Air Tank, (30 years on my Sears captive air), it will be worth 5 stars. 3-4 for now.
Couple of things here.
1- For some unknown reason Supply House could not tell me if this tank had a lift nut or lift ring to pick it up by. I worried about that and planned to use several tie down straps to lift it and move it around. Anyways it does have a 5/8" nut welded to the top. I needed a way to lift it and put it in my 8 ft. deep well house.
2- Amtrol or Supply House should state in their specification that this WX-255 tank has a lift nut welded to the top which is 5/8" x ? thread and it is covered by a plastic threaded piece to keep it from rusting. Or, even better, put an 5/8" eye bolt covered with envelope type bubble wrap, then securely tape it to the side of the tank for shipping and easy use.
3. This information should be readily available from either Amtrol or Supply House so one knows there is a way to lift the tank or easily grab hold of the bolt on top and move the tank around. Tank has no handles or anything to grab hold of. Providing a 5/8" bolt would have helped me.
4 stars for now, with finger crossed it will last 15 years.

It did!
Turns out it, has a plastic cover screwed into a 5/8" nut welded to the top of the tank? I had a 1/2" inch bolt that just dropped into the lift nut. My neighbor looked and looked thru his stuff and found several bolts, one of which worked. A ½" bolt was too small and ¾" was too big. He then welded an eyebolt to the 5/8" bolt.
With the 5/8" bolt and welded eye bolt, we had an easy way to left it into my subsurface 8 ft deep well house.

Had 2 weeks, so far so good
Fast shipping, arrived with no damage. Installed and working fine. One of the highest rated brands. Not inexpensive. Hope it lasts another 15+ years like the last one.

Great tank
High quality tank. Replaced a wellxtrol WX202 in service since 1982, so might as well take opportunity to increase tank size to match my well pump output.

Shipping was slow but the tank arrived in perfect condition
It took about 2 weeks from the date I ordered the tank for the handoff from nationwide freight to a 'last mile' local delivery company. They backed down my long driveway and unloaded the tank, took a picture to ensure the box was undamaged, and left.
The tank was in great shape, no scratches or dents (except the ones I imparted due to an unceremonious effort to get it onto a furniture dolly)
I'll state the obvious: this is a big heavy tank and is really a 2-man lift.

Works as advertised.
Showed up with one minor dent (like a door ding on a car) but nothing to lose sleep over. Plumbed it in and it's been working great. Dampened the water hammer that my well had with the previous bag style fiberglass tank.

Had a leaking fitting
The tank itself seems like a quality product, but there was a leak at the 90 deg. elbow when hooked up. The leak was where the 90 deg. elbow connected to the bottom of the tank. After tightening the fitting didn't resolve the leak I removed it and found there was no pipe dope or teflon tape on the threads. The elbow is also cast iron which I feel is prone to failure from rust so I replaced it with the brass elbow that came with my old tank. Would suggest the company installs a brass elbow on the tank and use pipe dope or teflon tape to seal the threads which would make this tank 5 stars.
