The Caleffi MIXCAL three-way thermostatic mixing valve is used in systems producing domestic hot water or in hydronic and radiant heating systems. It maintains the desired output temperature of the mixed water supplied to the user at a constant set value compensating for both temperature and pressure fluctuations of the incoming hot and cold water. Easy install good value
I've been in the trade for 50 years and I believe in doing it right the first time. Every hot water maker or indirect should have thermostatic mixing valve installed. I keep my indirect at 140° to kill bacteria and deliver it at 120° so no one gets scalded

Not great with hard water
Tempering valve works well but has internal parts that collect scale from hard water. Have to swap them out every few years and decalcify the old one.

This is the first time I have ordered from supply house.
The staff was very helpful in finding the mixing valve I needed. It controls our hot water temperature very well. The thermometer that is built in is wonderful, you can make adjustments and watch your new temperature. With water flowing it responds quickly.

Q: What is the difference between SKU521519AC and SKU521519A other than the price? I want to use the valve to mix heated water and cold for my garden.

521519AC includes an inlet port check valve to prevent back flow of water. The 521519A does not include this check valve. In other aspects the two valves are identical in operation and features.
