7-Day Programmable Line Volt Thermostat for Electric Heating, TH115-A-120S

I used this thermostat (TH115-A-120S) during a recent bathroom remodel. This coupled with North American Floor Sensor AC112-01, along with Thermosoft's under tile heating mat made for a great combination. The thermostat is easy to control and has many programming options. The thermostat is quiet when cycling between off & on you can barely hear it and only if you are very close. This model does not have a built in GFI but that was ok in my situation because I tapped into an existing electrical line that was already GFI protected. My new tile stays a constant comfy warm, feels nice on my tootsies. The display looks nice and adds an elegant touch to my bathroom. I wish there was a setting where you could keep the back lit display illuminated all the time because when the green back light is on it looks awesome. Installation was a breeze so if you're a DIYer you should have no problem. One more thing to add is I'd recommend you install two floor sensors for under floor heating. This is just in case one of your sensors fail you merely attach your spare sensor and you're good to go... There's not much more I can say about this thermostat, only that it works and works well.

Easy to program, looks good. I do have one or two issues though. First, My application would have been better served by a thermostat that has a 2 or 3 hour override. (This will stay in override until the next scheduled program change.) So i thought, no problem, Just put in multiple unoccupied schedules. This leads to my second issue: Second, The four daily programs are not universal. "Wake" and "Return" must bring you to OCCUPIED. they cannot be programmed differently. They will always have the same temperature set-point. And "Leave" and "Sleep" will always put you in unoccupied mode at the only unoccupied temperature. I wanted to program thus: 7:00 am Occupied "Wake" 5:00 pm unoccupied "leave" 7:00 pm unoccupied "Return" (not possible) 9:00 pm unoccupied "Sleep" This would have minimized I was unable to create short term temporary occupied blocks, because "Return" cannot be set to unoccupied.
