Description

Note: A : VA 10 Adapter Ring is required when using a Mr. PEX actuator with a manifold.

Mr PEX 1.5" Brass Manifolds are made from high-quality extruded brass and offered in 2 to 10 loop pre-assembled configurations (no 7 or 9 loop version). The supply side features balancing manifold with adjustable flow-meters for flows up to 1.6 gpm per loop. The return side features a valved manifold with on/off valves. The manual plastic cap on the return valve can be removed to accommodate a valve actuator. The return balancing valve disc is designed to enable exact adjustments of small flows while still being able to handle large flows with minimal resistance. The combined branch Cv value is 1.64 gpm and the manifold body accommodates flows up to 22 gpm.

This manifold requires (20) Loop Fitting Assemblies:

Actuators
  • 5120700: Thermal Actuator for Mr. PEX Manifolds (4 Wire)
If you want to use your manifold to heat multiple zones, you can purchase return side actuators that work along side thermostats. The actuators act as zone valves to allow you to use one manifold to control the temperature in different rooms independently.

  • 5120701: Thermal Actuator for Mr. PEX Manifolds (2 Wire)
If you want to use your manifold to heat multiple zones, you can purchase return side actuators that work along side thermostats. The actuators act as zone valves to allow you to use one manifold to control the temperature in different rooms independently.

Note: A : VA 80 Adapter Ring is required when using a Mr. Pex actuator with a Rifeng brass or stainless steel manifold.

Great Product (and NOT made in China)

flexable that you can switch the supply and return from top to bottom. Gives me room to expand without major redo.

Easy to install & use

I used this manifold to revamp and divide my hydronic system into user friendly zones. It was easy to install and has all the features you could want. We're not into the heating season yet but early indications are it will work great.

ASK A QUESTION

Q: Can you reverse the supply / return? Because of my boiler configuration, it would be much easier to hook supply (hot) to the top part of the manifold.

Yes, you can swap the supply and return locations on the mounting bracket.

Q: Hi, I'm new to Radiant heating & plan on using this product in a 3 loop, 1 zone configuration. However, I will only have one loop ready for connection in about a week, and the remaining two loops ready in about one month. Can I simply run a short piece of Pex-AL-Pex from the supply to the return lines of the 2nd & 3rd loops until I'm ready to install them? If you recommend something else please let me know. Thanks, JCU

You can do that. You could also cap off the supply and return connections of the unused loops. Part MP124 (3610004) would be compatible with those connections on this manifold.

Hello JCU! I would suggest you run 2 lines like you say beside the one that is installed but would put valves on it to restrict the flow (as they will be much shorter than the one installed) so you get the same flow out of the 3 lines, balancing the lines flow using the restricting valves. Good day, Marc

Not going to be easy to run a short piece between the supply and returns, due to the bend radius of the PEX, but you should be able to cap them off. Do a search for "manifold caps" and find the correct size.

An easier way would be to purchase some plugs for the size pex your using, cut some short (5") lengths of the pex and then hook up the pex to your manifold and plug the other end.  Worked for me.  In fact I still have a loop available for the future.  Hope this helps.

Q: can you tell me which "actuators" are used with the valves supplied on manifold. I would also like technical details related to powering the actuator you recommend.

You can use the Mr. PEX MP700 actuators (4-wire) or the Rifeng MA-ACT actuators (2-wire).

Q: Forgive my lack of experience. But if i am running a two zone system of strictly hot water through an insulated slab, why is there a manifold for cold water? and do you have any manafolds for just hot water?

The manifold for the cold water is for the water returning to the manifold. Basically, water in a radiant system goes from the warm-water manifold, through the tubing in the floor, back to the cold water manifold, and then to the boiler to be reheated.
