Description

The Stainless-steel Manifold Assembly with flow meter comes fully assembled and ready for installation. Use the included flow meters located on the supply manifold to balance the loops across the manifold. The return manifold comes equipped with isolation valves for easy loop isolation. For multiple zoning on the manifold, the black caps are removed and replaced with Uponor Thermal Actuators. The manifold body ends have R32 union connections and the loop outlets have R20 male threads. The included manifold supply and return ball valves come with an R32 x 1" NPT connection.

Features:
  • 1" and 1-1/4" manifold offering
  • Competitively priced metal alternative
  • Corrosion-resistant, stainless-steel barrel
  • NPT-threaded ball valve for easy, cost-effective transition
  • Balancing and isolation valves for complete loop isolation
  • Compatible with all glycols used in radiant heating and cooling systems
  • Integrated, full-port ball valves with temperature gauges
  • Integrated flow meters for simple system balancing
  • Temperature/Pressure ratings:
    • 68°F (20°C) at 145 psi
    • 158°F (70°C) at 87.4 psi
    • 194°F (90°C) at 43.8 psi
  • Pre-assembled and ready to install right out of the box

works great

All the goodies that come with the manifold - flow meters, flow adjusters (manual, but can be automated later), drain valves, thermometers, isolation valves work great. Every piece of this additional equipment makes life so much easier. Thermometers seems to be precise (as opposed to others I bought separately for 20 bucks each). Drain valves swivel. It takes no physical effort to open or close drain valves. I wonder how it can be so easy to move and still being sealed well. My installation has passed 50 PSI air pressure test with no issues. Now, I got two boxes, only one had the manual and stickers included. Manual is important. I don't know where to download one. Fortunately, in the second box there was a manual. If you get a box with no manual, I think you can use the manual for the brass manifold from Uponor.

Good Manifold-Mostly

I am not a HVAC guy but installed our hydronic system using runtal radiators and this manifold. I started 2 years ago with a Mr.Pex manifold that leaked badly within a year, so I went this this unit as a replacement. Today I noticed that there was a leak at the union. Unfortunately, the union is not repairable and had to RMA the unit. The pressure is up around 18 PSI and when the PSI drops lower the leak seems to go away, but replacing either way.

I would buy this product again

These manifolds are simply the best. You want quality? This is it. Solid stainless steel. And love the flow meters. Our company has installed hundreds of these and never had any issues.

A better product than the competitor brand.

Two loop radiant floor system. Easy to balance. It would be even better if it could be install 180 opposite direction.

Very nice manifold

Installing and purging the loops were very easy with these. They look great and the flow meters easy to adjust and read. I'll for sure use these again in the future.

Happy with product

Manifold seems to be great quality. Tubing and manifold installed and leak tested. Concrete is in but remainder of system not yet installed so system is not active yet.

Nice manifold

The flow meters are crucial to balance out loops of different lengths. The bracket was bent during shipping but was easily bent back

You can't beat a stainless steel manifold

We do upper end installs. You can't beat a stainless manifold for pop. Add flow gauges, thermometers and actuators and you have a very nice, easy to use integrated piece.

Q: What is the difference between the Two-Wire Thermal Actuator and the Four-Wire Thermal Actuator? What is the decision point I need to consider when selecting the proper zone actuator?

4 wire actuators have an end or auxiliary switch typically used to turn on the circulator after the valve has opened fully. If you are not sure whether you need one for your control scheme, you can get one 4 wire per zone and the rest 2 wire to be safe.

Q: Can these manifolds be used with a existing cast iron radiators? Each radiator on a 5/8 in pex home run back to the manifold?

This manifold may be used to run 5/8" pex tubing from the manifold to cast iron water radiators. The unit is not compatible with steam systems. You will need to add the 5/8" loop fitting assemblies with the manifold body itself.
