There is no 5/8" adapter that can connect directly to the MINIBLOC, but you can connect to the 3/4" threaded adapter with a proper fitting or transition to 3/4" piping in line.
You can use 3/4" adapters on the two supply ports on each MINIBLOC. Depending on how you pipe the rest of the system, this could allow you to use one of these ports to supply 3/4" hot and cold lines to your shower using a hot and cold MINIBLOC.
I'm pretty sure that mini blocks supply only 1/2 inch loads. But they have a 3/4 inch feed-through port (which does not have a built-in valve). So you would use the block for the 1/2 inch loads. If you want a 3/4 line for the shower then branch the 3/4 line off before the miniblock, or feed the 3/4 line using the outlet port of the miniblock. (make sure that you have the adapter to connect to this outlet port. In my experience, if you have good water pressure, and if you run a dedicated line to the shower, a 1/2 line gives you pretty good flow. And with the 1/2 line, it won't take long for the water to get hit when you start the shower.
The 10-port crimp MINIBLOC measures approximately 20" x 4" x 2.5".
I recently purchased a 3/8 inch, 4 port minibloc. It approx. 9-1/2 inches in length by 2-3/4 inch in width by 4 inches in height. The port size will not really affect the overall dimensions. The port number will affect the length. I would guess that a 10 port minibloc would have a length of 20-21 inches.
Yes, part 50355 allows you to connect MINIBLOC units together.
Yes, with a Minibloc coupling.
Yes, a pair of mounting brackets are included with MINIBLOC units. The brackets must be screwed or nailed to the wall, and the manifold snaps to the brackets.
The mounting brackets (flat plates) are supplied. You screw them (2) to the wall and then you snap the minibloc to it prior to installing the water lines.
Yes.
Yes they do.
Yes. The unit just snaps into the mounting bracket. Sent from my iPhone
I installed an 8 port and a 10 port. They both came with a mounting bracket. My recollection is that you screw the mounting bracket to the wall (or whatever) and the manifold then clicks in to the mounting bracket. I had purchased some metal strips that the website implied I would need. Never used them... Have no idea what they are for. Have been happy with these miniblocks and will use them again
Yes, the manablock came with a mounting bracket. You screw the mounting backet(s) down, and then snap the manifold into the brackets. Very sturdy. -Aaron
Yes Here we go STEELERS here we go!
The MINIBLOC includes a pair of mounting clips that must be secured to the wall. The MINIBLOC snaps into these clips.
MINIBLOCs are durable. Like MANABLOCs, they can be installed in an attic as long the conditions there remain below the maximum ratings of 180°F at 100psi. You'll also want to make sure water does not freeze in the unit during cold winter conditions.
All MINIBLOCs and MANABLOCs come with supply threads that measure about 1" and are unique to these products. You must order (separately) proper supply adapters ( http://www.pexsupply.com/MANABLOC-Supply-Adapters-764000 ). The adapters are available for either 3/4" or 1" PEX Press, PEX crimp, or NPT connections.
Crimp-style manifolds work with either copper crimps or stainless steel clamps.
Yes, you can use the same supply adapters.
