Description

Please Note:
**Important**
  • The MANABLOC plumbing system carries a maximum pressure/temperature rating of 100 psi @ 180°F. Excessive pressure to the MANABLOC will cause leaks.
  • Do not allow chemicals such as PVC glues or solder flux to come into contact with the MANABLOC. They will compromise the integrity of the MANABLOC and cause leaks.
  • Please consult the MANABLOC install instructions for a more comprehensive list of chemical materials that will cause harm to the MANABLOC plumbing system.

PolyAlloy PEX Crimp MINIBLOCs provide a zone manifold for the plumbing system. These MINIBLOCs use 1/2" distribution lines. All PolyAlloy PEX Crimp MINIBLOCs include port Crimp connections, drill templates, instruction guide, faceplate and port labels.

The SKU number represents all blue valves. Red valve caps are included to designate hot water lines.

Most Liked Positive Review

This is my second time using this product

This one I used on a tiny house for my daughter and it works perfectly for size and ease of install. I also customized a elbow for the water connection

Most Liked Negative Review

Plastic, flimsy

This minibloc was difficult to get mounted and snapped into their brackets without feeling like I was going to break it. The end cap I placed drips even when using Teflon tape (the only sealant the instructions state can be used if needed). Given that it can only be hand tightened it was difficult to tighten the end cap further. When I attempting, I got to the point where the port where the end cap screws on now spins WITH the end cap - while hand tightening. Wish I would have just bought a $12 copper crimp manifold.

East yo install

We are replumbing our house and switching to a manifold system. We purchased one for the hot water lines and one for the cold water. I found them easy to install and efficient.

Decent product for the price

Purchased this product for a rental unit I am rehabbing. The unit is plastic and the connectors are plastic. Will have to see how durable it is in the long run. Comes with a mounting bracket so it mounts to the wall nicely in the mechanical room. I like the concept of the home run of pex to each terminal and it is really handy to have an individual shut off for each run. This is esp. nice in a rehab because you can turn water on/off at the source when not all sinks etc. have been hooked up. Would buy it again, would really like a 12 outlet unit (7 hot and 5 cold).

Q: My water supply coming into the house is 5/8", is there an adapter to use the miniblock?

There is no 5/8" adapter that can connect directly to the MINIBLOC, but you can connect to the 3/4" threaded adapter with a proper fitting or transition to 3/4" piping in line.

Q: I usually supply 3/4" to the master bath to supply the multiple heads in the shower area. Is there a minibloc that will allow me to do this while supplying 1/2" to the other fixtures?

You can use 3/4" adapters on the two supply ports on each MINIBLOC. Depending on how you pipe the rest of the system, this could allow you to use one of these ports to supply 3/4" hot and cold lines to your shower using a hot and cold MINIBLOC.

I'm pretty sure that mini blocks supply only 1/2 inch loads. But they have a 3/4 inch feed-through port (which does not have a built-in valve). So you would use the block for the 1/2 inch loads. If you want a 3/4 line for the shower then branch the 3/4 line off before the miniblock, or feed the 3/4 line using the outlet port of the miniblock. (make sure that you have the adapter to connect to this outlet port. In my experience, if you have good water pressure, and if you run a dedicated line to the shower, a 1/2 line gives you pretty good flow. And with the 1/2 line, it won't take long for the water to get hit when you start the shower.

Q: What are the physical dimensions, in inches, for the different minibloc sizes?

The 10-port crimp MINIBLOC measures approximately 20" x 4" x 2.5".

I recently purchased a 3/8 inch, 4 port minibloc. It approx. 9-1/2 inches in length by 2-3/4 inch in width by 4 inches in height. The port size will not really affect the overall dimensions. The port number will affect the length. I would guess that a 10 port minibloc would have a length of 20-21 inches.

Yes, a pair of mounting brackets are included with MINIBLOC units. The brackets must be screwed or nailed to the wall, and the manifold snaps to the brackets.

The mounting brackets (flat plates) are supplied. You screw them (2) to the wall and then you snap the minibloc to it prior to installing the water lines.

I installed an 8 port and a 10 port. They both came with a mounting bracket. My recollection is that you screw the mounting bracket to the wall (or whatever) and the manifold then clicks in to the mounting bracket. I had purchased some metal strips that the website implied I would need. Never used them... Have no idea what they are for. Have been happy with these miniblocks and will use them again

Yes, the manablock came with a mounting bracket. You screw the mounting backet(s) down, and then snap the manifold into the brackets. Very sturdy. -Aaron

The MINIBLOC includes a pair of mounting clips that must be secured to the wall. The MINIBLOC snaps into these clips.

Q: Are these miniblocs strong and durable? Are they suitable to use in a hot environment such as an attic?

MINIBLOCs are durable. Like MANABLOCs, they can be installed in an attic as long the conditions there remain below the maximum ratings of 180°F at 100psi. You'll also want to make sure water does not freeze in the unit during cold winter conditions.

Q: I am using both 1" cold water and 3/4" hot water supply lines, how do I determine the size of the supply ports when ordering? Do they all come with 3/4" port so that my 1" must be reduced at the miniblock?

All MINIBLOCs and MANABLOCs come with supply threads that measure about 1" and are unique to these products. You must order (separately) proper supply adapters ( http://www.pexsupply.com/MANABLOC-Supply-Adapters-764000 ). The adapters are available for either 3/4" or 1" PEX Press, PEX crimp, or NPT connections.
