White Rodgers zone valve

I installed White Rodgers zone valves on my boiler 38 years ago.Because, a master plumber said they were the best on the market. The longivity of this product has been outstanding. I decided to install new valves because they started to leak out the seal.Icould have replaced the seal but felt that 38 y3ars service was long enough for a electrical mechanical device. I chose to install the new valve motor into the old existing valve body, saving me all that installation time. No leaks, how easy is that.

Not as good in quality as in the past

The actual valve cylinder broke off when inserting it to the valve body. Had to do some rigging to get it back together and get customer heat. Handle with care!

I would buy this again if needed. Great Company and service

This was just exactly what I needed. It arrived quickly and Dales Mechanical installed it the same day. Couldn't be happier with it and this company. Works perfectly.

Very quiet operation

This zone valve is much quieter than my other two zone valves, also from white rogers. I appreciated the printed specifications and guide included in the box

This 1" Hydronic Zone Valve should be called "Old Reliable".

The White-Rodgers Sweat-In Hydronic Zone Valve is not just very reliable in the long-term, but its design features offer a degree of control that conventional valves cannot. The very action of the valve allows a smooth "off" to "on" to "off" transition that eliminate "hammer". This is very important since this valve offers a very high coefficient of flow (Cv). It does this all without any additional electronics, other than the valve's "on"/"off" controls.

These zone valves are a thing of the past

You can replace them with a better valve like a honeywell... The cylinder can disengage and when that happens, throw the unit away... just my 2cents

Perfect replacement, identical wiring

Does exactly as advertised. Just wish it was a little cheaper. It aint like there has been any improvement in boiler technology in the last 30 years

We would recommend replacing the entire valve.

Q: Is this easy to install? It appears that I will have to sweat 3 pipes, correct?, Also, My furnace supports a duplex. so I have '2' of these parts. The one that is not working (just clicking) is for zone 'A'. There are more than 2 wires being used into this part. Is there a 'how to'instructions for this installation?

It is suggested to have a technician install the unit because of the wires that need to be connected. The installation instructions can be seen in the link provided below. http://s3.pexsupply.com/manuals/1286983925517/40455_PROD_FILE.pdf
