Environmentally-friendly insulation and factory-installed heat trap nipples reduce heat loss for maximum energy savings. This ProLine water heater is designed with A. O. Smith's superior commercial-grade tank protection. Advanced tank features include stainless steel CoreGard anode rod, Blue Diamond glass lining and DynaClean automatic sediment-cleaning system, all designed to help protect the tank from the corrosive effects of water and extend the life of the water heater. Not sure what to say, product seems to work good. Delivery was great. Supply house customer service has been great to me. Unfortunately the product's pressure relief valve was installed at an angle, looks weird but functions fine, otherwise would give better rating.

Simple, well built, good delivery service.
This new AO Smith water heater is replacing an AO Smith that had been in daily use since 1997 (27 years ago). It is in a difficult to access location so it had not been drained to clear out sediment if there were any, but it seems likely there would be. Now I wish I had done that at least a few times to see if I could have gotten over 30 years of service.

At first I had the control set to "A". That level of heat was not necessary, so I tried setting it to "Hot" which is a step down. Since then. I've set it to "Low" and I still have plenty of hot water and will use less gas which is a nice bonus.
The delivery person was very helpful. He arrived during the storm from what remained of hurricane Helene came to our city in KY. It was not a terrible storm at this location, but long lasting with high winds with pretty heavy rains at times. I specified that the truck would need a lift gate (which was no extra charge). That helped and during that rain I mentioned the driver got it to my back door on a pallet and manual fork lift dolly. Then he and I used my 2 wheel dolly to get it up a 4" step then a 12" step. I was so pleased that I tipped him since I had no other help and I did not want to leave that new heater outdoors in that weather.

So far - good water heater
Product arrived quickly. A little heavier than I expected. Like the push button pilot lighting feature. Seems to heat water very fast. Only dislike is that the on/off -pilot and temperature are all one knob. Old one had separate knobs so you could turn off pilot and gas without changing temperature setting.

Excellent water heater
I bought this to replace my old AO Smith ProMax, that lasted me about 12 years. This water heater was easy to install and works quietly, efficiently, and powerfully. We had to turn it down from the temperature that we normally run it at because the water was coming through so much hotter than we needed. These ProLines are not like the noisy cheap AO Smiths that are sold at hardware stores. This is a high quality professional grade water heater, I definitely recommend it.
