Awesome service & Fast Shipping

I was impressed with all of the information online especially the measurements. My old Welltroll WX 202 20 gallon 32 years old and still going but I noticed it being weak and pressure dropped off quickly With a reduction in water flow. despite not being saturated. The New tank WX 203 32 gallon has the same diameter measurements just taller making the installation easier. I also bought the brass 10 inch T with Union so if need to change in future it will be a quick exchange. I also got the boiler valve and pressure relief valve and used my old adjustable pressure switch. I run my pressure 45/65 and adjusted the new tank to 43 pounds before installing. My system now kicks in much less than before and pressure is holding at faucets without a reduced water flow like I had. Shipping was fast and no damages on any of my parts. Much cheaper than local vendors. Good Job guys

Well X Trol Quality Control Issues

This is a challenging review. SupplyHouse gets 5 stars, Amtrol the maker of Well-X-Trol pressure tanks, maybe 1 1/2 stars. We are on our third tank and seem to have a good one finally. Ordered the first one in July and learned it was defective soon after. Started seeing the telltale rust in toilet bowls. SupplyHouse checked with Amtrol, they agreed to send another tank. I originally ordered a WX-203, what arrived was a WX-202. That is a 20 gallon tank instead of the 32 gallon I ordered. The problem was someone in the factory put a WX-203 sticker with serial number, build date, etc. The stock picker at SupplyHouse went by that. This time the decision was to ship back the mis-marked tank to confirm. Once it was proved to be incorrect, another tank was shipped. This time it was the correct model and is holding up. SupplyHouse customer service has been great. Over the weeks of this ordeal I dealt with several customer service reps, all were great. There was Sonya, Bailey, Candice and Angel. All these deserve praise for their efforts. I will attempt to upload a photo of the WX-202 with incorrect WX-203 sticker. The bottom of box clearly says WX-202, zoom in to read sticker. Personally I feel bad SupplyHouse had to deal with the poor quality control from Amtrol. I hope they are fairly compensated for the cost and hassle.

I would buy this product again and again!

Quality tank! Great warranty! Speedy shipping. I didn't realize just how long a time (years!) my old pressure tank was deteriorating and how it was affecting all my water using equipment and even my electricity bill! Holy cow! So glad i found SupplyHouse on line!

Great customer service

Bought this tank based on reviews and reputation. What mostly stood out was the customer service from both the manufacturer and Supply House. Excellent and expedient service.

So far, so good

Just recently had my plumber install. It certainly is an improvement over the previous tank and bladder. Time will tell.

Q: What should the internal PSI be in the tank?

The unit comes pre-charged to 38 PSI. Release or add air as necessary to make the precharge pressure 2 psig below the pressure switch pump cut-in setting.(Example, if you have aWX-202-XL with a precharge of 38psig, and you have a pressure switch setting of 30/50 psig, adjust pre-charge of your WX-202-XL from 38 psig to 28 psig.) Q: I have a WX-203 built on Oct 30, 2012. It cycles about tow or three times per minute dropping pressure from about 80 to 40, what is a normal pressure drop cycle? Not sure if I have a problem with the tank holding pressure, the pressure switch or my well pump.

we do not have that information, it would be best to contact Amrtrol directly for technical questions

the problem is most likely the air pressure setting in the tank. If your switch comes on at 40 psi you should have 37-38 psi of air pressure in the tank/bladder when all of the water pressure is off the system. Start by turning off the power/beaker to the pump open a faucet in the house & let it run until no water is coming out. Take a tire gauge & measure the amount of air that is in the tank it should be 37-38 psi if the switch closes at 40 psi. adjust the air pressure as needed close the faucet & restart the the pump you should notice a lot longer cycle time. When you have the pressure drained if there is still water in the tank the bladder is most likely ruined.

Q: I am thinking of getting a WX-203. My existing tank sits on two 8 inch high 6x16" blocks laying side by side to bring it up to water connection. My existing tank is also 15 3/4" diameter. Can I put this tank on the same blocks? What is the dimension of the stand?

The WX-203 is a similar unit to the 203LTD and would make a good candidate to replace it.
