Wireless Requirements:
- To enable the wireless capability, an (EIM) Equipment Interface Module (THM5421R1021) is required and sold separately.
- To remotely access the unit through WIFI, a RedLINK Internet Gateway (THM6000R1002) is required and sold separately.
VisionPRO 8000 with RedLINK is a 7 day programmable touchscreen thermostat that is selectable for residential or light commercial use. The thermostat can be wired directly to the equipment, used with the THM5421R1021 Equipment Interface Module or used with the THM4000R1000 TrueZONE Wireless Adapter. Works with the RedLINK accessories including the RedLINK Internet Gateway, Portable Comfort Control, Wireless Outdoor Sensor, Wireless Indoor Sensor, Wireless Entry/Exit Remote and Wireless Vent and Filter Boost Remote.

I bought this to replace a Ritetemp touch screen thermostat that was always doing goofy stuff with my HVAC.
I use the cycle limit feature and high-low differential temp feature to compensate for my grossly oversized HVAC system. No thermostat can make up for bad equipment choices, but this one is doing an admirable job despite the circumstances. The vacation 'away' feature is very intuitive and i just used it while i was on a trip .
If you are looking for lots of customizability and ease of use without dumb internet apps, this is the one for you.

Versatile thermostat
Replaced a 14 year old Honeywell VisionPro TH8320U with a few keypads that stopped working. Wiring was easy and even the mounting holes were the same. A lot more options and functions with this model. Only thing I don't like is the screen is glossy and shows fingerprints whereas the Visionpro screen had a matt finish that didn't show fingerprints.

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffThe outdoor sensor is part C7089R1013. To enable redlink functions, you either need to have the thermostat hardwired (C wire), or be utilizing an EIM.

Q: Can you hardwire the indoor temp. sensor instead of wireless sensor? We are planning to install several t-stats and several indoor sensors and worry about interference.

Q: Will this t-stat turn hvac equipment on when humidity level is too high inside a room that has stagnant air. I have a customer that needs circulating air to help from mildew/mold issues that have been recently cleared up through difficult cleaning procedures & we want to avoid having this condition reappear because of dead air space.

Q: I have a single length of electric baseboard as well as a forced hot air gas furnace(propane) that i would like to be able to control remotely(turn on/off as well as regulate temp.). Can I accomplish this with a single thermostate that controls both. I have wireless router with internet service at the location that i want to control temperature.

Verified Reply- Supplyhouse StaffThis would only be possible if only the electric baseboard is set up for low (24) voltage controls. If it's line voltage control, then no it won't work.

Q: I am looking into replacing all of the thermostats in my church with this model, and they will all be hardwired as the existing ones are now. We have a gym in which the thermostat could possibly be damaged, and so my idea, if this is possible, is to mount a temperature sensor in place of the old thermostat and to drill a hole through this wall to mount the thermostat in the next room (on the other side of this wall). Is there a product which I can get to accomplish this?

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffThis is not possible on Honeywell VisionPRO thermostats. They only offer the option of locking the screen through the installer setup menu (which can be overridden by anyone who gains access to the manual). We would recommend a Robertshaw i2 Series thermostat if you need a thermostat with a lockout code.
