It will work, but not the right size
Replacing a smoked run cap in a heat pump, expecting to simply swap in the new one reusing all of the existing brackets etc. Specifically picked one with the same physical dimensions as the old one so I wouldn't need to screw with it. Website and literature claims this is 2 1/2" diameter.

Correct cap!
Previous AC tech installed what ever he had on truck. Started to fail again. Our friend who is an AC pro told use the correct one to order for compressor. We ordered and he kindly installed it for us. Now our system is running at peak performance.
Note to previous tech: use parts the system specs out, not what you want to replace with just because you don't have the correct part on truck.

Worked great in my project
