Description

This R410A unit is no longer manufactured as per the AIM Act of 2020. While replacement parts are available for repairs, a new unit will require replacing the entire system to support the new A2L R32 refrigerant.

LG heat pump systems consist of three basic components: An inverter (variable speed) outdoor heat pump, stylish and quiet indoor units, and a conduit with piping and wiring to connect the outdoor unit to each indoor unit. Multiple indoor units allow precise indoor temperature control throughout your home and provide the ability to adjust the temperature in each area to meet your needs.

LG Multi F whole-home comfort systems provide powerful, efficient heating and cooling with up to eight indoor units operating off a single outdoor unit. In fact, most combinations are ENERGY STAR® Certified. Individual room temperature control with low operating cost are at your fingertips with LG Multi F.

Installation is easy and does not require major renovations – the pipes connecting your outdoor unit to the indoor units are small and easy to run throughout your house. Your contractor can usually install a whole home system in just a few days start-to-finish and adding an additional indoor unit down the road is simple and cost-effective. Using three or more indoor units is more cost-effective and uses less space than installing three individual single-zone systems.

Nice unit

Running three zones created some problems getting all contro wires into the unit. Finally fabricated a custom receiver for the three strain reliefs and ran the poet feed through the side of the unit.

I am forced to buy this product again and again

I have had problems with this unit for the past 3 years. After first year of use - leak somewhere in the coil. I followed warranty guidelines, hired an LG dealer to perform work and replace parts. The labor to repair costed more than a brand new unit. After repair used for that season (Summer only for AC) and then next spring discovered there was no charge and another leak in coil. This time SupplyHouse sent a new unit at no charge. I used this unit for the summer AC only and now this spring AGAIN no charge. A leak somewhere in the compressor. SupplyHouse current response is to request the parts needed to repair, however, the labor repair estimate I have is $1,200-$2,500. I am still working with them for a better solution. Hopefully we can reach a resolution.

No Warranty support

I keep having issues with this outdoor unit where the cost of labor will be more than the whole thing so I ordered a new one and it had different issues. Supply house wont help unless LG gives a case number and a Lg tech diagnoses it. Lg won't give a case number because they have no record of it being purchased from a distributor. So now im stuck buying a 3rd unit in less than 2 years (directly from a LG supplier this time so I have an actual warranty) plus all the labor that's not covered. LG just wants your money and will not support you when it breaks.

No warranty support.

Bought this to replace previous model that compressor went bad. This one had a ruptured burst disk that leaked out all refrigerant and some other issues where repair work is going to be more than the cost of a new unit. So im purchasing 3 of these in the span of 2 years. Supply house says they wont do anything to help without a LG case number and LG tech diagnosis, LG wont give a case number because it wasn't bought from them and have no record of it being purchased at all. Is supply house not a certified supplier? Anyways just pay a little more upfront and buy from a local company who will then support warranty claims.

Product was great and so was supply house

The product fit my old zones inside the house so I didn't have to change anything just unhook my old unit and hook this one up. The unit is smaller than my old one and extremely quieter. I've had it running non stop for 3 weeks and it's been great. Supply House was very nice and helpful and shipped promptly. The only problem I had was with my local freight, they were behind and took some time to get the product from the freight company but other than that everything was perfect.

Quiet inside and out

I have two compressor with 3 head each installed a week ago and they are working great. Only hear a faint breeze at low settings. You can easily hold conversation beside outside units unless you crank the temperature settings up 25 degrees which I did just as a test. One remote control can operate any air handler so I put the other remotes away to use as backups. Speaking of remotes, we have two 12k units in our great room and if you are in the right spot it will control both units at same time. We look forward to connecting the units to wifi

Excellent ,

We set it all up, then we check to see how many amps it would draw with everything on , running at maximum and we only had a 4 amp draw

LG mini split 20k BTU inverter

With my HVAC contractor, I have an install with 2x of the inverters, 1x 12kBTU indoor unit, 1x 9k BTU unit, 4x 7k BTU units. I purchased all the LG products and line sets from Supply House. The technical people were very knowledgeable about sizing the units for my home. Upon install, there was an issue with both ends of 1 line set, needed to be fixed. When starting the inside units 1 was dead, 1 made a lot of noise. Supply house sent me parts to fix both units, but they shouldn't have needed repaired being brand new. I like the idea of complete zone control, and they appear to be more energy efficient than my electric baseboard heat. Some are making noise that I haven't troubleshot yet. I think I will like them when all the bugs are worked out, but this isn't an easy exercise.

Nice unit, straight-forward to install

Installed this at my home, with two 12K BTU indoor units. The parts got delivered with a lift gate delivery truck. Everything was complete and in perfect condition. (need to order separately: line set, electric hookup whip, unfused disconnect, line set cover) Installation took me about 2 days. Works perfectly. Very happy.

The SEER ratings for these units are not fixed, as it will depend on what indoor units they are connected to.
