Description

Features:
  • Flexible, modular and singular design system
  • Easy-to-assemble construction
  • Precise flow control and balancing
  • Fitting for both PEX and Multilayer Pipe
  • Control for the dominant heating systems like hydronic floor heating, fan coil heating or baseboard heating.
  • No Sealant or Teflon required
NOTE: Includes supply/return shut-off valves with temperature wells

This manifold requires (16) Loop Fitting Assemblies:

PEX Loop Fitting Assemblies Options
PEX-AL-PEX Loop Fitting Assemblies Options
Optional Installation Accessories:

Loop End Cap
Actuators
  • MA-ACT: Thermal Actuator for Rifeng Manifolds
If you want to use your manifold to heat multiple zones, you can purchase return side actuators that work along side thermostats. The actuators act as zone valves to allow you to use one manifold to control the temperature in different rooms independently.
Supply/Return Adapter Options

Note: Bleeder valves that come equipped with Rifeng Manifolds are 1" BSP Thread (manifold inlet) x 3/4" BSP Thread (outlet). If your application requires you to connect to a garden hose, you will need to purchase a Mr. PEX Manifold End Cap w/ Swivel Fill-Drain Valve separately which is 1" BSP x 3/4" Hose Thread

Solid units, work well

I purchased 4 of these (3, 5, 7, & 8 loops) and installed them myself. I am not a plumber, but managed to get them in without too much difficulty. Do be aware that they are large (much bigger then the old INFLOOR units I replaced), but that they seem to be about the same size as other brands with similar function. They also seem to be less expensive due to the stainless steel bodies rather than brass. The units are very solid in construction, and offer excellent bleed / flush ports, and also valves to isolate the unit completely. The also have thermo-wells which is a nice touch, but i noticed that the body of one of mine was loose on the stem so I would not be too dependent upon their accuracy. Do be sure to check the size of your PEX hydronic heat lines (mine are 3.8" so I had to buy those fittings - the default that come with them are 1/2". Also, if you are using 3/8" PEX loops, my plumber (who I had check my work), suggested not to throttle the flow valves back at all as the flow rates are so low that any impedance could cause improper heating. He also pointed out that the manifolds themselves will distribute the flow well due to their large volume so throttling should not be necessary anyway. You should also be sure to use a 1" male brass fitting on each of the inlets and outlets (actually the valve body) as I was unable to get seals with copper fittings (maybe just me - again I am not a plumber, but the brass units worked perfectly first time). You should also be aware that the valve end of the manifold is a bit fiddly when it comes to leak stoppage as you have a sequence of a rubber seal, nylon seal and pipe thread all in just a few inches - but I did get them all to seal and I am sure better plumbers than I will do it without worry. You will need two large crescent wrenches (or a crescent and a pipe wrench) to tighten up this bit if you care about the final position of the valve handle and thermo-well (tough to explain - you will see what I mean when you do it yourself). I did have one fault on the 7 loop unit, and that was a very slow leak around the seal on the flowmeter. PEX Supply replaced the unit without question and the replacement works fine. Overall- good product, I only market the unit down due to the one leaking flow meter (which required removing the whole unit from a very tight opening in a wall cavity in my home), and the unreliable thermo-well.

I would buy again if the parts were all included

Great quality but I gave it three stars because they do not include the nuts and locking collars with the o rings are sold separately to add additional costs. I feel should be included when buying a complete manifold set up.

Stainless manifold seems very well made and sturdy.

So far I have only pressurized the system (fill with water to help find leaks and reduce pressurization time!) and poured the basement floor. Waiting to hook up the hot water supply. No leaks now, but the EK20 loop fittings required multiple tightenings over 48 hours before they stopped leaking. Invest in the correct size open end wrench (not adjustable wrench) to tighten these fittings as space is limited. Perhaps another style of 1/2 inch PEX fitting seals better than the EK20. A little concerned about the flow control site glasses as some are wobbly - though they are not leaking. Perhaps this is just a matter of adjusting the flow controls once I get my hot water hooked up. I like the design of the fill/drain valves, the valves rotate easily to allow better hose access. Valve cap doubles as valve handle - neat. Lack of trapped air vents just means I will add one between hot water heater and manifold. The two temperature gages do not match in reading (off by 5 degrees) even though my system is currently at a static temperature.

great product

I replumbed my heating system to have 8 zones instead of one main loop fed with monoflow tees .. everything was plug and play and very easy to use. the only thing that would have been nice is if the manifold would have come with a 3/4 hook up. i had to buy adapters to fit the 5/8 fittings.

Product is outstanding

I built my house 25 years ago and used the very same manufacturer of manifolds. Very much improved design. My only issue was the the sales support left a little to be desired. When I first contacted them last year explaining what I needed and I even sent them pictures they couldn't help me. Then this year I found this manifold and contacted sales support again and they referred me to the manifold but I needed to connect to 3/8" PEX. Instead of telling me to order the manifold with 3/8" PEX Fittings I was told to order the 3/8" fittings separately. Now I have a bunch of 1/2" fittings I paid for but don't need.

I would purchas thus product and recomend for purchase

Local codes require a 100lb pressure test wich is the maximum pressure on this unit needs to be a higher pressure rating.

Well made, looks awsome!

I'm installing zone heating and this will be perfect for job. I'v not completed the system yet,but so far looks good. My only complaint is that the fitting you need to hook this manifold to your pex or copper has an odd thread, hard to purchace localy and so I had to reorder this part to use the maniflod. SupplyHouse has the part and is on it's way.

Product Q&A

5 Questions

ASK A QUESTION

Q: Just to clarify, can the manifold be mounted vertically? The pex tubes would come in from the side. If this is ok, should the supply water lines enter at the top or the bottom? Does it matter where the air/water separate component goes? I'm assuming top would be better? Does the vertical orientation affect the flow meters?

The manifold doesn't have built in air vents so it can be installed vertically. It may slightly effect the flow meters. Feeding from the top or bottom should not make much of a difference as long as there is adequate air elimination in the system.

The RHM08 is 19.5" long and the ball valves add another 4" to that if you use them.
