T-H3-OS-N Outdoor Tankless High Efficiency Condensing Water Heater (NG)

We had an issue with our On Demand water heater. Instead of replacing the part they stood behind the product and replaced it quickly and efficiently.

It's not working promptly and it vibrates loud

Easy to instal and set up, works as it is intended.

I bought this unit based on my Contractor's success with the unit. To our surprise, it wasn't a good purchase. It vibrates a lot, and the time of the hot water to the faucet takes up to a minute. Our old unit, (ten years), took 15 seconds to reach the faucet hot, the new unit is about 50 seconds and is super loud. The mfg sent us a second unit, same result, a tad bit quieter. The other problem, is you get in this weird place where Supply House treats it as a warranty meaning you pay for shipping cost back to them which can be expensive. To Supply House credit, they said they didn't want the unit back but it's on me to dispose of the unit. Save yourself grief, look at the Rinnai - we had much better luck.

Installed on July 6, works good... First unit arrived damaged. The staff at SupplyHouse.com worked with me and sent out a replacement very quickly. Great customer service. Charlie and Jay. The unit has preformed well with plenty of flow and just the right temperature. It is 60 feet from the meter, so it needed a 1" pipe to support the large BTU draw. It does take time to get hot water to the other side of the house, maybe a little longer that the tank heater. We located the new heater near the bathrooms, so less time to reach temperature to the bathrooms.

I replaced an old Takagi TM1 with this, once installation was complete it was running fine, but later notice that it was transferring vibration to the structure of the house which was cause a resonant low level hum in certain areas of the house. The water heater itself was not loud and standing next to it you wouldn't think anything was wrong, but if you held you hand to the side of it, you could notice a lot of vibration was produced when the fan fired up. I contacted Takagi who advised this was not normal and they send out a new fan which the Plummer switched out and no more vibration! Very satisfied now, it's quieter than our old TM1 and producer plenty of hot water.
