I might buy this product again.
I bought this tank to match the exact same tank that was already in service but leaking. With it being the same tank the plumbing was a breeze to hook up. I pleased to see when the tank was delivered, the cardboard carton that it came in was in excellent condition with the slogan printed on the side of the box "Proudly made in the USA" that pleased me as well. Fast forward to taking the tank out of the box only to see that it had two dents in it, this didn't affect how it operates but told me that it was dented when it was put in the box. Come on manufacturing in the USA let's get some pride in our work!

Q: MY well pump cycles every 4 minutes even when water is not used anywhere. I dont see any leaks, yet the pressure drops from 50 to 30 in 3 minutes without using the water (even with water valve after well-x closed. The well-x is light (rocks easily) when at 50psi. Is this a bladder problem, or not related to the well-x?

Q: I currently have awx-202 that is from around 1973 it was precharged to 30 psi. I see the new one is precharged to 38 psi what do I need to do on the install in regards to well pump switch

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffThe charge should be set to 2 psi below the cut-in pressure on the pump. Depending on your switch you may have to add or release pressure to the tank.

For anybody looking for advice. To get accurate pressure in your tank... 1st drain the tank of all the water that is in it, 2nd check the air pressure in the tank (tire gauge preferably), 3rd set the tank Pressure to 2 pounds lower than the low setting of the pressure switch (30/50 switch needs 28 lb of air in tank, 40/60 needs 38 lb of air in tank). Hope this is helpful to somebody who is wondering

Q: What should the drawoff be on a 20 x-trol tank set at 30-50 and precharged at 28 lb? I'm getting about 2 1/2 gal. which seems small???

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffAccording to the manufacturer, you should be getting 5 to 5 1/2 gallons. They recommend letting out about 5 psi to see if that improves the draw-down.
