Series 668S1 TwistFlow pre-assembled distribution manifold for radiant panel systems
with built-in sight flow gauge/balancing valve
Note: This manifold requires 8 Loop Fitting Assemblies (please see below).
Distribution manifolds for radiant panel systems are used to optimally distribute the heating fluid in floor heating system circuits and ultimately improve the control of heat emission from the panels. The manifolds ensure that the flow to each circuit is regulated precisely and also control the shut-off, venting and automatic removal of air from the system.

This fitting will connect 5/16" PEX to a loop of the Manifold without requiring the use of a PEX Tool. 680503A: 3/8" PEX Loop Fitting Assembly

If you want to use your manifold to heat multiple zones, you can purchase return side actuators that work along side thermostats. The actuators act as zone valves to allow you to use one manifold to control the temperature in different rooms independently.

Nice when you need inverted manifolds, but not without flaws
These inverted manifolds are nice when your pex is running up, and will save you from running a loop to the bottom of the manifold. However, the clearance to the mounting brackets with 1/2 pex is basically touching. Also beware the flow gauges on the bottom will allow the even the slightest amount of sediment to drop into them.
