So far, so very good!
Installed this thermostat about one month ago to replace a prior Hunter automatic changeover thermostat that had finally cratered. The Honeywell had very similar features and seemed to be a very good value. It installed and programmed easily and has been very accurately maintaining the programmed temperatures.
As a check, I temporarily hung a very accurate lab thermometer next to the thermostat to see just how well the Honeywell was calibrated. It is right on!
The one slight negative so far is that the 'dead band' spread between the cool and heat changeover is 3 degrees, and cannot be changed. Doesn't seem like much, but it is quite noticeable before either the heat or cool cycle kicks in. I believe the Hunter's dead band spread was 2 degrees or less.
Very pleased so far....now if it just continues to work as well for the next five years or so!

Bad design
I am a plumber. I've installed quite a few thermostats. The amount of force it takes to remove the thermostat from the wallplate is insane. Normally you just push in tabs at the top or bottom of the unit to separate them. Not this one! I was honestly afraid i was going to break either piece while separating them. I can only imagine what will happen when someone tries to remove the thermostat from the wallplate in the future. The little electrical block (where you hook in the wires) was moving around so much it's like it's defective or something. Another issue I see with it is the battery holder. You push in a tab and the whole plastic holder comes out and I can easily see it getting dropped on the floor and broken. I don't know who the heck designed this thing. This was a replacement for an almost exact older model and it didn't have any of these design flaws. Maybe it's a matter of cheaper materials or they thought they were improving the design. The only positive is that it worked as it should. I don't think I'd purchase this again.

New Thermostat
This thermostat is the same we use in two other zones of the house. When the third zone broke this was the choice for replacement. They are very reliable and smart. SupplyHouse got it shipped quickly and we were back in business. I like dealing with this company.

Q: Honeywell thermostat model #TH6110D1021 shows 5-1-1 programmable days. After programming Mon thru Fri days I press next to program the weekend days, but for some reason it shows "Sat/Sun". How do I separate them? I need to program Sat. separate from Sun.

Q: I have a large area being controlled by an old fashion controller which I like to replace. However, there is another slave controller to this controller (i.e., the second area controller could only be set to a given temperature but can not control). What kind of controller do I need (single stage vs. multi stage) Do I need to change both of them? I also would like to input a set of different settings for each day of the week. Do I need a 7 day controller vs. 5-1-1?

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffYou may want to replace both controllers with two new thermostats, one for each zone. If you order a programmable thermostat that is 7-day, you can have a different setting for every day of the week.

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffThe Honeywell manual lists the following as the recommended settings for wake: 70 degrees, leave: 62 degrees, return: 70 degrees, and sleep: 62 degrees. This would vary depending on personal preference, season and your location, so you can use this as a guide to adjust your own settings.
