- 30 amp resistive load rating for typical HVAC and light commercial equipment
- 24 VAC coil for control by standard low voltage thermostat or control circuits
- Compact open-frame design suitable for equipment control compartments
- Screw or quick-connect terminals as supplied on the specific model for line, load, and coil connections
Compatibility & Applications:
- Intended for use in air conditioners, heat pumps, and other equipment that requires single-pole contact switching with 24 VAC control
- Suitable for residential and light commercial condenser units, air handlers, and similar loads within the contactor's ratings
- Used as a service replacement where a 1-pole, 30 amp, 24V coil contactor is specified by the equipment manufacturer
Installation & Operation Notes:
- Disconnect all power sources and verify absence of voltage before removing or installing the contactor
- Mount the contactor in the equipment control compartment or electrical panel as directed by the equipment manufacturer
- Transfer line, load, and control wires from the old contactor to the new unit, matching terminal designations and wiring diagrams
- After installation, restore power and verify that the contactor pulls in and releases correctly in response to the control signal
- Confirm that all connections are tight and that wiring is routed to avoid rubbing or interference with moving parts
Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Inspect the contactor periodically for pitted contacts, discoloration, or audible chatter that may indicate wear or low control voltage
- Replace the contactor if the coil fails to energize, if contacts do not close reliably, or if excessive heat or arcing is observed
- If nuisance failures occur, confirm that load current is within the contactor's rating and that the control voltage is within the specified 24 VAC range
