Solid unit. Supply House delivered promptly as usual.
Bought a second one of these after seeing how solidly built they seem to be. I'm filtering our well water to lower micron filtration after an initial spin down filter before these two. These housings installed easy and are solidly built. Take note of the flow direction when installing.

Works great in theory but likely better solutions out there
For the price, I expected a better. Had my contractors install this during our reno a couple years ago and it has leaked since installation. Even with food grade silicon on the o-ring and making sure the inlet/outlet are seated properly, it still leaks. The other huge problem is getting the housing off to replace the filter. The SW-2 or whatever wrench goes with it is plastic and malleable. The housing is near impossible to get off and takes me half an hour (at least) every time trying to heat it up enough to loosen it. I'm now resorting to buying more wrenches (hopefully for even torque or torque in multiple places around the housing) to try to get the latest one off (which was a failure.) Would recommend something easier to deal with/maintain.

Try another brand.....
After plumbing for 30+ years I'm always careful about checking & tracing threads especially with plastic....out of 2 of these pentair filters, using a 3/4" copper male adapter to check before assembly, one filter was off but was able to chase the thread....the 2nd filter was a disaster on inlet & outlet. Even tried another adapter on the outlet side to verify it wasn't the problem.

Replacing an older water filter canister that was impossible to turn to replace the water filter. The new one has a bleed on top that releases pressure and removing is a breeze. Very heavy duty as well

Integrated bracket makes mounting simple.
We typically install these hanging from a joist in the crawlspace. They mount simply and are easy to replace cartridges in.

2 units both leak
The first unit i bought leaked from the pressure/air purge valve a slow constant drip. Alerted supplyhouse and they shipped a new unit immediately, still took 3-4 days to receive because it was a Friday but I did not want to change the position of the filter so i opted to try the same filter housing again. Obviously a manufacture defect.
The second filter i received, one of the FPT threads we so loose when i went to install the pex adaptor I was able to pretty much bottom out the fitting out by hand. Suspicious. Installed water lines, it leaked from that fitting. Obviously. Tried to reseal multiple times with increasing amount of Teflon still to no avail.

Leaked
The first one leaked on the outgoing side. Used thread tape and followed directions. Exchanged it for another one, it also leaked on the same side. Ended up buying one with metal threads and it didn't leak.

Verified Reply- SupplyHouseHi Sue! Yes, the WC34-PRB does need external shut-off valves. The WVC-34 models come with an internal valve-in-head that allows both inlet and outlet ports to be simultaneously shut off with a half turn of the handle that eliminates the need for external shut-off valves.
