I am glad I purchased this unit.

This water heater replaced a 2 1/2 yr. old American Standard tankless unit that has been problematic since installed. It works flawlessly providing endless hot water.

Professionally installed and working within a day.

The tank itself appears modern and efficient but the amount of water wasted while it heats up is troubling. I like to conserve resources and this product seems to take a long time to dispense hot water. First it is warm, then cold and slowly hot. I collect the water in a bucket and save it in a grey water tank out back but it's a lot of wasted water.

Water heater install went well, I had no issues with the whole installation. I have 40 years in the HVAC trade, install needs to be performed by a professional !

Great water heater!

I had some reservations installing this water heater in Laramie Wy due to elevation (7200 ft) and water temperature. It turns out, the water heater has no problems in this climate, if installed properly. The main things to keep in mind are, gas line resized from 1/2 in to 3/4 in and you will probably have to move or extend the water lines, if replacing a tank water heater. One thing that could be easily missed by the installer and cause poor performance is the setting of internal switches which are set for vent type and length water temperature and and elevation.

A maintenance display or status monitor is provided in the front panel to indicate operating status and error codes. This water heater requires a minimum flow rate to operate. This rate can be found on the specification page in the manual link below. In some cases when you are not getting hot water or if the water alternates between hot and cold, it is due to the water flow being below or close to the minimum flow rate. Increasing the flow rate should resolve these problems in these cases. If you are experiencing issues with higher temperature settings, then reduce the temperature setting. Selecting a temperature closer to that which is actually used at the faucet will increase the amount of hot water being delivered to the faucet, due to less cold water mixing at the fixture. https://s3.amazonaws.com/s3.supplyhouse.com/product_files/Rinnai-RUCS75IN-User-Guide.pdf
