Excellant, I would buy again
The young lady that I talked to was terrific, answered all my questions and I had a few good ones that needed clarifying. We talked about other components as well, including the valves and the special exhaust tube. The system installed very well and works as expected.

This one gets only one star because the owners manuel does not explain how to change the altitude adjustment. I have called rinnai customer support twice, watched 3 videos, and searched the owners manuel. Nothing works. Our installer does not know how to adjust the settings. Very frustrating!

This one gets only one star because the owners manuel does not explain how to change the altitude adjustment. I have called rinnai customer support twice, watched 3 videos, and searched the owners manuel. Nothing works. Our installer does not know how to adjust the settings. Very frustrating!

Rinnai tankless water heaters are awesome
The cheaper models don't come with the clean out valves which are very important on tankless water heaters. Otherwise no complaints, easy to install and work awesome!

Ideal product for small home. Just note that gas tankless units can be much more expensive to install than electric due to special venting and condensate requirements.

Q: What is the maximum elevation rating? I am installing at 7000 ft. What are the temperature options above 120? I may need to run it slightly hotter, but not necc. 140.

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffPage 20 of the installation manual shows how to adjust the unit for the higher altitude installs: http://s3.supplyhouse.com/product_files/Rinnai-V65IN-User-Guide.pdf The temperature setback is either 120 degrees or 140 degrees.
