There is just one size on the pump.
You should't need to know pipe size if you're replacing the pump only, on an existing system using the existing supply adaptors in place. If your replacing the pump on a older system, than it might be wise to replace the adaptors and in that case, you would need to know your pipe size to order the appropriate sized adaptors.
there are a few things that will give you the correct pump size. Pump head, flow rate, pipe size, and application. If you have used a 007 and it has been working fine, then i suggest remaining with it, unless you say it has been the 2nd or 3rd replacement since it was installed, or you have been having trouble maintaining the house temperature. More info would allow me to help you better.
I believe the size is determined by the flange you bolt to the pump the pump itself is a "one size"
The flanges used are determined by the pipe size. Pump is the same.
The pump housing will get very hot because there is no insulation around the motor.
We have that part on our website. It is SKU: 008-005RP. It can be viewed at this link: http://www.pexsupply.com/Taco-008-005RP-Taco-Replacement-Casing-O-Ring-for-Select-005-007-008-Models
Pumps are not sized by flanges, they are sized by gpm (gallons per minute) and head pressure. Please look back at our product page, as we have recently added a PDF that will help guide you. The Taco 007-F5 sounds like it would be adequate for your application.
The 007-F5 does come with 2 rubber gaskets.
For welded type of connections, you would use a sweat or solder style flange. Please refer to the link for more information: http://www.pexsupply.com/Taco-Bronze-Shut-Off-Freedom-Flanges-321000
