Great filter, glad to find it
This is our second filter, our first lasted almost 20 years. I can't say how happy I was to find it at Supply House. It is a good filter and in a house that suffers from great variances in pressure, it handled it very well. When the pressure release valve finally went, it started a very slow drip and we were able to replace it before any problems arose. Easy to replace and we're very happy.

The filter leaked out of the box
Purchased a whole house water filter to replace one that had been there for years, installed it and it is leaking worse than the one i replaced. Very frustrating, and hard to install. noew i have to remove it and fix it.

I would buy this product again
My project was to replace my whole house filters that have been in service for about 30 yrs. I selected this filter for the improved shut off valve and the clear canister. The only downside is that I cannot get a leak free seal by hand tightening the canister. I lubricated the O-ring and made sure it was seated correctly in the canister. A little extra pressure with the wrench was required to complete the seal.

This unit was already there when I bought my house and it lasted 5 years with me before the pressure release button failed for good. I was happy to find this same unit through SupplyHouse and let me tell you, from order to delivery (even perfection in packaging) to customer service when I had to call them, everything was top shelf.

Q: My unit, a WVC34 has a handle on top that rotates and covers the RED pressure relief button. My filter housing is leaking from under the handle and when I press the RED button, water spreads everywhere. Is there a way to repair this valve, or will I have to replace my unit. I just replaced the filter, but I had to cut the water supply at the water supply line, since the unit leaked when I turned the handle 180 degrees. It is leaking quite a bit. Please help.
