Recently I needed to change out my tank since the old one suffered a bladder blowout. I wanted to stay with WellXTrol since that was the make of my old tank and it lasted close to 30 years. The new tank arrived as scheduled (very impressive with such fast service) and was in perfect condition. No problem with the installation, even for a DIY. Love the additional capacity since the old tank was a 14-gal. Love Supply House!

drawdown expectations
I am a little disappointed with this tank. i specifically went with the XL model for the extra drawdown. Acccording to the Amtrol website I should get around 7 gallons before the pump kicks in. I am only getting a little over 5 gallons. i changed the preset tank psi from 38 down to 34 psi. i have a 40/60 switch that is set to 36/56 so i would still expect closer to 7 gallons of drawdown. i called Amtrol support and the answer i received is "thats all it will do". so they then suggested putting in a second tank.

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffAt 20 to 40 psi, the drawdown is 9 gallons. At 30 to 50 psi the drawdown is 8 gallons.
