You can if the water in the radiant baseboard heater is heated electrically and the existing thermostat senses ambient air temperature for controlling the temperature instead of some other means of feedback.

You are correct. the thermostat doesn't have a metal housing, so it does not need a ground wire attached to it. You should however connect the ground wire that comes from the power feed cable to the ground wire with the cable that goes to the heater. The will insure that the heater is grounded properly.

the specs state 220-240 volts, nothing about 120. call the manufacturer.
Wattage would be the same, but 120v heater would draw twice the amps of a 240v heater (if they are rated for the same wattage). That being said, look into the Honeywell Aube TH106, it looks to work with 240 or 120v. Pat
Hello I'm not quite sure as I have never used these on 110v units. They are the GREATEST High Voltage thermostats I have ever used or seen. In the usual install of a 220v unit, only one of the legs are broken. This turns off the heat. I'm not sure how the internals of the thermostat itself are wired. I would try hooking up one leg, make sure the other leg is wire nutted just for safety. If that didn't work I would try powering up the other leg. If this fails, then it can't be used. I would think a call to Honeywell, Tradeline, would get the correct answer. In any case, I assume my first thoughts should not hurt the unit. It costs more to run 110v heat than it does 240v heat. The best install on electric is to balance both legs as there is a waste cost that factors into the price of electric. Gary Manzi Manzi P & H manziph.com
On second thought, I don't see why connecting both line leads to the line coming in and both load leads to the heat load. After all, the thermostat doesn't know which leg it is using. It might just need power, 110v, to each leg. Gary
You can adjust the thermostat to any set-point you'd like. Push the up or down arrow button until the desired set point is reached, then press and hold the appropriate home or away button and it should register the new value that you'd like for that setting.
Yes, I think those are just the preset temperature values. You can make the home and away temps whatever you want.
Yes there is a way. It is simple. The instructions cover how to do that. You just select the day, night or away icons and change the temperature utilizing the up or down buttons.

TL8130A1005 is SPST (single pole, single throw) and TL8230A1003 is DPST (double pole, single throw). They also have different electrical ratings.
The 8130 switches both sides of the line power, allows for more wattage to heater 4000watts 16.7 amps at 240 volts. The 8230 switches one side of line power has 3600 watts max to heater 15 amps at 240 volts. To determine wattage needed for the circuit add the length of the heaters supplied by the thermostat and multiply by 250= wattage needed. This method is the maximum wattage a heater would produce per foot. Some heaters may be less, but this is a typical value. You may also find the rating on a label on the heater somewhere at the bottom hidden. Keep in mind the circuit supplying the power. Typically an 8 foot heater would be 2000 watts at 240 volts and would require 8.3 amps, so two 8 foot heaters would be 16.6 amps and too much for a 20 amp circuit breaker, as you can only apply 16 amps of load to a 20 amp breaker and number 12 wire. Looks like just the electrical rating. 8130 is rated up to 4000 watts. 8230 is up to 3600 watts. See how many watts total on zone baseboard.
According to the manufacturer, this thermostat would not be able to handle 20 amps with 2,000 watts.
