Easy replacement
Replaced the old capacitor that was measuring low at 35mfd (~22% drop) after about 7 years of service driving the compressor in a geothermal heatpump This one was right on. Make sure your multi-meter can measure capacitance. This is the same brand my local HVAC shop uses.
While replacing this component smoothed out the sound of my compressor, in my case, the AC was still shutting down after a few minutes ultimately as a safety precaution to avoid flood from overflow of the condensate pan due to the condensate drain being plugged. Gel tabs now on the menu.
