6-CIA-ML, 115v 1/3 HP, 45 GPM - Automatic Submersible Sump Pump, 10ft power cord

I routinely replace the sump pump every 5 years or so i.e. don't wait for it to fail. I noticed this newer model has a much smaller differential (delta) between on/off. Previous model would switch ON after a 7 or 8 rise in water level, this newer model comes on with a 2-3" level increase. The switching cycles will be >x2 the previous, questioning the long term reliability

This 6-CIA-ML Little Giant pump like all of Little Giant's pumps(sewage ejector pumps especially) fail after a short time in use. Like clockwork this little pump dies after about 3 years of typical use. Luckily, it was under warranty but my customers don't like having to pay for the labor to replace it so frequently(3rd one in the last 6 years). I suggest other brands when looking for a sink pump or ejector pump. It's screwed together with actual Philips head machine screws(even their larger sewage ejectors)! Instead of using a hex head bolt they use machine screws that can't be tightened properly on the factory floor. This is almost definitely why they fail. I took my large Philips head screwdriver and was able to turn each screw a little more with relative ease. Very poor assembly and quality control at Little Giant. Zoeller makes the best pumps out there, is USA made, and is what I recommend.
