30 MFD Round Run Capacitor (370V)

I am using a vibrator that I cycle as much as 20 times per minute. The manufacturers recommendation is to cycle 4 times per hour. So I run into a problem where the manufacturers provided start capacitor is a 220-250V 147 mfd to 174 mfd. This capacitor often failed high drawing so much current that it burns out the start/overload switch and the start winding relay. Through experimentation this 370v 30 mfd run capacitor starts and runs the vibrator perfectly. My testing was to run the vibrator on 3 second cycles 1.5 on, 1.5 off, 20 cycles per minute for 10 days continuous. This is about 288 thousand continuous start/stop cycles. With an ambient temperature of about 85 F the vibrator ran at generally 175 F to 185 F, pulling 13 amps inrush, 1.5 amps running, the capacitor was generally at 90 F to a maximum of 110 F. This is the capacitor I will be using from now on!

Use on a pool cleaner motor and it works just great. Smaller package than most in that size, no problems fitting it in. Motor started right up.
