Bradford White's high efficiency, energy saver, atmospheric vent residential gas water heater features the Defender Safety System and offers additional insulation and integral heat traps to reduce stand-by heat loss.

A standard, off the shelf thermopile converts heat energy from the pilot flame into electrical energy to operate the gas valve and microprocessor. No need for external electricity.
- Enhanced Performance - Proprietary algorithms provide enhanced First Hour Delivery ratings and tighter temperature differentials.
- Advanced Temperature Control System - Microprocessor constantly monitors and controls burner operation to maintain consistent and accurate water temperature levels.
- Intelligent Diagnostics - An exclusive green LED light prompts the installer during start-up and provides ten different diagnostic codes to assist in troubleshooting.

- Resettable Thermal Switch - Proven and reliable bimetallic switch prevents burner and pilot operation in case of ongoing flammable vapor burn inside of the combustion chamber or restricted air flow.
- Maintenance Free - No regular cleaning of air inlet openings or flame arrestor is required under normal conditions.
- Sight Window - Offers a view into the combustion chamber to observe the operation of the pilot and burner.
- Factory Installed Hydrojet Total Performance System - Cold water inlet sediment reducing device helps prevent sediment build up in tank. Increases first hour delivery of hot water while minimizing temperature build up in tank.
- Vitraglas Lining - Bradford White tanks are lined with a exclusively engineered enamel formula that provides superior protection from the highly corrosive effects of hot water. This formula (Vitraglas) is fused to the steel surface by firing at a temperature of over 1600ºF.
- 2" Non-CFC Foam Insulation - Covers the side and top, reducing the amount of heat loss. This results in less energy consumption, improved operation efficiencies and jacket rigidity.

Perfect!
I just replaced a 26 year old Lochinvar 50 gallon water heater. After some research, I discovered that Bradford White makes the Lochinvar line. I could not fault that kind of service from a water heater (it never required any maintenance in 26 years), so I ordered the BW online and it arrived exactly as promised. I got a call to arrange a delivery date, and the agent moved up the date a couple of days due to my leaking old water heater. The installation could not have been smoother. The vent pipe and water fittings lined up exactly as the old ones did (although I soldered on new dielectrics). The heater took a few tries to light, I'm sure due to all of the air in the gas line. You just need to keep pressing the igniter button and wait until the flashing green light comes on. It's been a couple of weeks, and no problems. I just hope this one lasts HALF as long as my old one! Very satisfied with the whole supply house experience.

Delivered in damaged condition but working.
My new Bradford White water heater had a dent in the top about the width of two fists on the top. The box has no foam in it to protect the heater with only doubled up cardboard at the top and bottom it is a wonder if any arrive undamaged. The foam insulation inside the tank protected the internals from damage so I was able to install tank and it is working well after one week. I bought this heater to replace another that is nearly identical and was still working after eighteen years. Supply House is rebating one hundred dollars for the cosmetic damage to the tank. When my wife goes back to laundry after her cast comes off I hope this rebate is enough to keep me out of the dog house. I am recomending this product based on the eighteen years the last Bradford gave me. You should remove the box from the water heater before accepting delivery and I don't care if they have to wait. You can be sure I will in the future!!!

I bought this replacement because the previous one started leaking after 21 years. Best water heater I've ever owned. I hope this replacement last that long. Delivery was smooth, good communication and easy to replace, since the original was an exact match for the hookups.

Defective ignitor and overall bad customer service
We bought 2 water heaters which were supposed to come with TWO altatude parts and only came with one so we had to stop installation process and wait a few more days, then one of the heaters ignitor swith is defective and now have to wait for installer to come back so he can wait on line for the company to walk him through their process to see if ignitor is defective. This is so unacceptable and the company should just sent out a product that works when its installed. Plus when I called about the altitude part, I had to ask for overnight delivery when they should have automatically done that. Customer service is low budget at this company. I will not recommend them to anyone or use them ever again. Purely unacceptable after spending $3,000 with this company. Shame on you!! The BBB will be informed!!

The product is amazing exactly what i wanted looks and works flawlessly. My only issue is the shipping. They was suppose to call me to set up a shipping date however i wasnt notified of this and was given a shipping estimate date. As the days rolled by i ended up calling the shipper to find out what was going on as my item has been sitting in the house and i needed my hot water tank today. They informed me that i was supposed to call them to arrange a date so i could sign for the drop off. I was no aware of this and because i lived in the town the item was being hel i was able to go and pick it up myself.

My previous BW 50g water heater was operating slightly less efficiently; however, after 20 years of consistent and sometimes very heavy use, I'd say I got my money worth! I consider BW to be one of the best, if not THEE best, water heater offered on the market!
Supplyhouse was fantastic. We placed the order and within a few days our water heater arrived, no issues! And installation was a breeze!
I've only had it for about 2 weeks so can't really comment on its performance this far but if history does have a tendency to repeat itself, I'm very confident I'll be one happy customer again!
