Do Saniflo units require venting, and what are the electrical requirements?
Most units need a 1-1/2inch vent tied into the main vent stack. Compact models like Sanicompact 48 and Sanistar are self-contained and do not require venting. Standard units plug into a 115 V GFI outlet, while larger commercial models like Sanicubic 2 need 220–240 V hard wiring.

What pipe sizes and materials are needed for discharge?
Most units discharge through 3/4 or 1-inch piping in PVC, CPVC, or copper. The Sanicubic range requires a 1½-inch discharge pipe.
